Hello Everyone,
I am a Mickey Mouse collector that stumbled upon, what I believe to be, is an original Bosko (Bosco) doll. The only information I could find on the net is that (according to another cartoon forum), England produced authorized Bosko dolls. My doll is monkey-like, velveteen-like material of the period (1930s), replaced eyes (buttons), ivory/yellow pants, black naked top half, ivory/yellow feet and hand, small ears and tail. The doll is manufactured, not home made, but no tag present.
I have not been able to locate another doll like this one, as I checked Ebay, collector reference books, net search, Toon artifact databases, etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
Jenni
