Name of Cartoon
Hopefully you can help me. This was a cartoon series that I saw in the 80's. It was based in the 20's or somewhere around there. It was about a family and I believe the main character was a boy who I believe had a dog. I do remember they were in a farm kind of thing because they wore overalls. I do remember the grandfather making all kinds of crazy inventions - like rube goldberg's type - to get silly things done and the kid always tried to get his grandfather out of trouble. Thanks! Sounds like you could have picked up on one of the old cartoons that TV has been running and rerunning since the beginning. Specifically, it could be Grampy, one of Betty Boop's pals. Tho he wasn't quite a family man, little boys were frequently featured in his cartoons. The dog would probably be Pudgy, who replaced Bimbo because a dog who was sometimes Betty's boyfriend was a little weird by post-Hayes office standards.

But it is not Grampy. It was a cartoon that I saw in the 80's, not animé based on the 1920`s. It was in color and about an American family. The boy used overalls and the grandfather particularly was always inventing some contraption or machine to do silly stuff. The intro to the cartoon was rather long and used a lot of white. It resembles somewhat the art of Norman Rockwell. Any ideas? Thanks Moshiana!
I figured they were old reruns, not something new based on something old. That's happened to most theatrical cartoons. But it wasn't and that's that.
