First, great site - thank you :)
Second, does anyone recognize the dog in my avatar? I can't find him anywhere. He's part of my mom's vintage toon character collection (mostly from the 1930s) and he look familiar, but I cannot find him anywhere.
I'm sure one of you will recognize him. Thanks again,

Thanks, Tent, but it's not Bimbo (who was sometimes Betty's dog, and sometimes her boyfriend). In fact, I can't place it at all. Sorry.

I thought betty boop's dog's name was pudgy? I did compare them actually. Also buster brown's dog, as well (tige) but he doesn't seem to be like either one of them. At least not from the strips.

Oh yes, Pudgy. He was a later one, mostly from when she got toned down by the censors. (Maybe a dog guy getting it on with a human chick didn't sit well with them.) But as you know, it wasn't him either.
He doesn't resemble the Tige from the Buster Brown Shoes commercials as I remember them, either. I don't know about Tige from the silent comedies, but I suspect it isn't him either.
