Well, there may be a tough chance for the more obscure 1960s made-for-TV animation to be shown on any of the TV toon outlets, but on the internet, they still have a chance to reach the spotlight!
Another need was a 'Mystery Science Theater 3000' for animated toons! That is the basic idea for 'Cartoon Dump', which was the creation of MST3K alumnus Frank Conniff & animation historian Jerry Beck. Its main slogan is 'Live comedy, great music, & hilariously bad animation!'
What does Spunky & Tadpole fit in this equation? Well, an episode of that series was the featured cartoon in the fifth episode of the series! The first four episodes had, in the following order: Mighty Mister Titan, The Big World of Little Adam, Bucky & Pepito, & Captain Fathom!
