Don;
In your last reply in the discussion on the Black Hood, you said the latest "superhero" book, newspaper feature, film, you enjoyed was Disney/Pixar's the Incredibles. Obviously, I enjoyed that parody of the Fantastic Four as well. (and, anyone who doesn't think the FF wasn't being parodied, come on. A "family" of "supers" 3 of 4 who have powers very similar to that of Reed, Ben, and, Sue?)
I just wish Pixar would schedule a sequel of this as they are a second sequel of Toy Story.
(Don, I know you have no influence at Disney, just being one of the free lancers working for Disney Comics. But in this case, I wish you did have some markers to call in at the film division, 'cause I'd truly like to see a second Incredibles.

I wouldn't exactly call it a parody, Chuck, tho it certainly had some elements that were very reminiscent of The Fantastic Four. (Excluding Mr. Incredible himself, whose muscle strength was the only thing he had in common with The Thimg.) No, it was a top-notch story in its own right, with suspense, an appealing villain, etc. It doesn't depend on being a parody of anything. Early on, I wrote a blog entry about it.
I'm not entirely sure a sequel would be as good, tho. I'd watch it, of course -- I'd watch just about anything Pixar did -- but you can't always pull of a sequel to a great movie. (Tho admittedly, they did with at least the first one to Toy Story.)
I'm not the only one in my family who loves Pizar movies. My 6-year-old grandson will watch anything they make.
Quack, Don
