Hi, I'm new. Long-time reader and fan, second time poster.
I was wondering... Back when I was going to school I happened across a guy watching a YouTube video. I remember him saying that it was a banned British cartoon. You can find a clip by going to YouTube, searching "disturbing kids show." It's the video that mentions the BBC.
(I'm not going to post a link b/c I don't want it in my directory where my gf's daughter might run across it)
Okay, so I understand that the reason it was banned was because gnosticism/satanism isn't exactly your typical Saturday morning fare, but I was wondering if someone out there might could scrounge up some information about who thought it would be. When was this thing produced? What was the purpose?
Fair warning: This thing creeped me out to the point where I hate even directing anyone towards it... Didn't finish the video, in fact. What was the point of this?
Lots of questions there. Thanks for any answers.

It's "The Mysterious Stranger" segment from "The Adventures of Mark Twain" (1985), quite possibly the weirdest movie made for kids that I've ever heard of... Got to wonder how they thought this was going to fly...
