cant remember the name

hi i cant rember nuch about this cartoon but here go's. i remember getting a peview comic for the cartoon when i was a kid i got it free in a transforms comic. then the next week the cartoon was on tv it was about 3 guys in robo type armour (i think) and in the first ep thing when into a hole that had appeard in the ground to check it out only to find muntant creatures that wanted to take over the earth. i want to give it the name mutantoids or something like that. iam 99% sure the name ended with "oids"

any help wpuld be great its driving me crazy

But the clues are intriguing. You didn't give a time frame, so I'm not absolutely sure the comic was published by Marvel, but it's probable, since they were the 1980s and early '90s licensor of the property. And DC was the one known for promoting new projects with free inserts. Still, I checked Overstreet (which, besides prices, offers a wealth of bibliographic info on comics) for both the Marvel and subsequent Transformers series.

Only two things are billed as having been introduced in Transformers, Aerialbots and Micromasters, and neither is listed in the IMDB, so we can be pretty sure there weren't TV series with those names.

So after investigation, my reply must remain a clear, forthright "I don't know".

Sorry I can't help. But the question is up there, so maybe someone else can show me up by answering.
