About:
Born April 26 1952 in downtown Los Angeles Ca next to the LA Coliseum, Exposition Park and USC.
Grew up and went to elementary school in Whittier CA. Went to Hosler Jr High and Lynwood High School, graduating in 1970. Went to CSCLB right out of high school for a graphics/commercial art degree.
Started working for Bechtel Power Corp in 1974 at Norwalk CA and went on for a degree in Mechanical-Electrical Drafting/Design degree. Quit work in engineering in in 1984 and started a Pet and Plant Care Service. Went back to CSULB (it upgraded from a college to a university between my attending years)for a Physical Education degree specializing in Personal Training.
Got picked up by the US Swimming and Diving association and worked as a freelance Swimming Referee and Diving Judge until 1992.
Bought 10 acres and moved to Sequim WA with my husband (we married in 1982). My husband and I built, with the help of some sub-contractors, a 50' diameter geodesic dome home of my design. Started a gardening yard care service, besides trying out other various occupations. Still got the successful gardening business, which my husband, Bill, does with me.
We currently have two dogs, two cats and one rabbit. That amount varies as they pass away and I find and adopt more critters. We did have a family of squirrels in the attic of our guest house, tearing up the insulation, but I think I have finally run them off.
I started creating wearable bead art for my own pleasure and to sell in 1994.
I created web sites for both the gardening business and my art.
I love living in a small town after the crowded, dirty and crime ridden Los Angeles where I was born and lived my first 40. I had traveled enough to know there were better places out there. I love living where people actually know and care for you, even if they don't really know you. It's a slower, more time back in history place that suits my husband and me. We live on the Puget Sound and up against the Olympic Mountains and keep pinching ourselves waiting for someone to tell us the vacation is over and we have to leave and go back to a big city.
