Hi
One of my first memories in England was looking at a MM comic cover round about1945/6,maybe a bit later. I'm almost certain that the cover showed MM heading for the moon which might have had a sign on it saying "Cheese".
Could any one identify this for me?
Please e mail me at: richard_moore_burnleyfan@hotmail.co.uk
Hope someone can help.
Thanks

There were two series of Mighty Mouse comics about then. The company that is now Marvel started one in 1947 and St. John Publishing the following year. The Grand Comics Database (comics.org) doesn't show a cover like you describe for either.
HOWEVER, Marvel's Terry-Toons Comics does. It was #58, July 1947. He's approaching the Moon from space, where somebody who looks like Ziggy Pig is waiting on the ground, by a signpost that says "Moon".
Direct links to GCD pages don't seem to work very well. But you can copy and paste [link:www.comics.org] for a look at a good-sized scan of that cover.
If that doesn't work either, go to [link:www.comics.org] and type terry-toons into the search box. (Their search engine isn't very bright, so you have to get it exact, i.e., be sure you include the hyphen.) Click "gallery" by the 1942 Marvel series, and the thumbnail for #58 is on the second page of the Gallery. Underneath it, click "large", and the cover will open in a new window.
Is that it?

My forum software doesn't seem willing to display a long, complicated URL. Let's try it with the "[link:;http://"] removed, and see if that works.
www.comics.org/coverview.lasso?id=203351&zoom=4
Ah, that's better.
