Don;
Was researching some obscure 'toons here, and, other places like Wikipedia, today, and, discovered that something I thought would have an 'toonopedia entry, apparently you haven't written yet.
The 'toon I was surprised to find missing was the (in)famous Speed Racer. Infamous, in that I remember several children's television crusaders criticizing the show for it's violence. (Though several other Japanese imports since Speed was on TV, are even more violent.) You mention in the 'toonopedia entry for a obscure 'toon, Colonel Bleep, that that character made a brief crossover in a Speed Racer episode. But as I said, there's no Speed Racer 'toonopedia enrty
Since there is to be a "live action" Speed Racer movie this spring, will the schedule for the 'toonopedia entry on Speed, Trixie, and, the gang be moved up?

Yeah, I was just saying, there's a dearth of Japanese stuff here, which will be fixed "Real Soon Now" but isn't on the schedule yet.
Thanks for reminding me there's a Speed Racer movie coming up. (May, isn't it?) That sounds like my cue to get started. Let's see, it should be up in time to hit the search engines by the time movie publicity starts (that was my cue for Sin City, V for Vendetta and several others), so I can get a free ride on their nickel. Mid-April sounds like a good target date for a maximally late Speed Racer article.
So that's it. The Speed Racer article should be up no later than spring. And as I've said before about starting to do Japanese animation in America here, apres Speed, le deluge.
And yes, it's about time.

By the way, Col Bleep reminds me of something that happened a couple of years ago. I was visiting my home town, New Orleans, a few months after the Great Disaster. The friends I was staying with took me to a party, where, for the first time, I met a Toonopedia fan just in my regular social comings and goings, and not at a convention or comic book signing, where you'd expect such people to congregate. When I was introduced to Tom Hackett, a local graphic designer who works on (among other things) professional Mardi Gras costumes, as the creator of this site, he said "Oh, man, I love that site!" And off we went, in a conversation that lasted 'way longer than my friends had planned to stay. Anyway, Tom said he'd discovered it by Googling Col. Bleep.

Hey Don;
Did you accidentally repost that comment about meeting a fan of the 'toonopedia down in New Orleans? Because, at least at first reading, it sure seems like the same one.
BTW, the movie Mach 5 is on display at the Detroit Auto Show, and, may be making the circuit of all the shows.

No, that happened while I wasn't looking. Note the different times for the "two" posts. I have no idea how it did.
I'd use the awesome power of the administrator to take out the second one, but now that it's been commented on, it's part of the discussion, so I think it best to leave it. It's not taking up much space anyway.
